COOLMAG SA 10

COOLMAG SA 10 is a thermally conductive composite PDMS-based elastomeric compound of encapsulant two-component system, designed for Power Electronics with a quadruple functionality:

1. Heat Transfer, reduction of hot spots and minimising average temperature of systems ( Thermal conductivity = 1,1 W/mK )
2. Electric Isolation ( Dielectric Strength 15.3 Kv/mm)
3. Low Stress & Mechanical protection (Shore A = 11)
4. Flame and fire protection ( UL 94 V0 )

Coolmag SA 10 It’s our lowest viscosity product , specially designed for die casting and potting by gravity or at low vacuum, wherever injection is not possible.

COOLMAG PU 10

COOLMAG PU 10 is a thermally conductive composite PDMS-based elastomeric compound of encapsulant two-component system, designed for Power Electronics with a quadruple functionality:

1. Heat Transfer, reduction of hot spots and minimising average temperature of systems ( Thermal conductivity = 0.6-0.8 W/mK )
2. Electric Isolation ( Dielectric Strength 10 Kv/mm)
3. Low Stress & Mechanical protection (Shore A = 75)
4. Flame and fire protection ( UL 94 V0 )

It’s our low viscosity and high adhesion PU product, specially designed for die casting wherever injection is not possible.

COOLMAGPLAST PA 20

COOLMAGPLAST PA20 is a thermally conductive, electrically non-conductive PA6 based flame retardant grade with a quadruple functionality:

1. Heat Transfer, reduction of hot spots and minimising the average temperature of systems.
2. Electric Isolation.
3. Mechanical protection.
4. Flame and fire protection.

COOLMAGPLAST PA20 combines thermal conductivity and electrical insulation in standard pellet form suitable for thermoplastic injection molding and other processes (e.g. extrusion).

COOLMAGPLAST PA20 is lightweight, net-shape moldable and allows design freedom in applications previously restricted to metals and ceramics.

Thermal Diffusivity: what is it and how to measure it?

The knowledge of the thermal conductivity and/or the thermal diffusivity is more and more required in many industrial fields. As a matter of fact, these are the most important parameters when heat transfer processes are involved. In the power generation industries, materials are selected primarily considering their thermal properties. In the automotive …
